WHO WE ARE

Matt joined CMG to fight for patients and families whose lives have been irreversibly
harmed by medical negligence. Before joining CMG, Matt spent over two decades managing malpractice claims against healthcare providers and hospitals.

Matt now uses this insight to develop the best approaches to fight for his clients. Over his career, Matt has been involved in a wide range of complex cases, including surgical errors, delayed diagnoses, negligent emergency room care, and birth injuries. His practice is dedicated to catastrophic injury and wrongful death resulting from medical negligence, and he strongly believes that victims of medical negligence and their families deserve justice and real solutions.

Matt grew up in Calvert County, Maryland. He then attended college at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree while playing soccer as a NCAA Division I scholarship athlete. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore, where he served as an editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review. In 2014, he furthered his legal expertise by earning an LL.M. in arbitration from the University of Miami School of Law. Matt is an EAGLE member of the Washington State Association for Justice, a member of the American Association for Justice, and is admitted to practice in Washington, Florida, and Washington, D.C.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys coaching soccer, playing poker, and going on hikes with his two daughters, his twin sons, and their mischievous miniature schnauzer, Gertrude.
