Gene has over 30 years’ experience in handling complex personal injury cases and now only handles medical malpractice cases. Gene has received numerous awards, including the “President’s Award” from the Washington State Association for Justice (formerly the WSTLA), and the prestigious “Professionalism Award” from both the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and the Washington State Bar Association.
As a cap to his career, Gene has been recognized as the “2014 Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year – Plaintiffs” for the Seattle area from U.S. News/Best Lawyers of America.
A member of the Board of Governors of the WSTLA from 1987-1993, he also served as Vice President, chair of the Medical Negligence Section, and editor-in-chief of the monthly newspaper Trial News.
Named as a Washington Super Lawyer for over 15 years, Gene also has been recognized as a “Top 100 Super Lawyer” and a “Top 40 Plaintiffs Personal Injury Super Lawyer” in surveys conducted and published by Washington Super Lawyers. He is rated a 10.0/superb from Avvo.com. Gene is a graduate of the University of Oregon and received his JD from Yale Law School.
