Images of the first clinical trials of a new type of body scanner were released recently. Called “Revolution CT,” the high definition images are stunning in their detail. Here is a link to the Time story that includes pictures from actual patients involved in the trials:

In the future, more detail from these scanners will make it easier for radiologists and other physicians to see into patients’ bodies and diagnose conditions that might otherwise go undiagnosed with current radiographic technology. For now, it’s just amazing to see the possibilities.
