Summer is wrapping up and we’ve started pulling together great programing and useful publications for our Medical Negligence Section for the 2014-15 term. We welcome your input and suggestions. Here are just a few of our goals for the year:
WSAJ Medical Negligence Deskbook
After years of consideration, we are finally working toward the first-ever WSAJ Medical Negligence Deskbook, written specifically for Washington attorneys representing victims of medical negligence. This comes after the success of the recent WSAJ Civil Rights, Product Liability, and Nursing Home Deskbooks, and the continued popularity of the WSAJ Insurance Law, Workers’ Compensation, and Auto Deskbooks. We look forward to contributions from many of our esteemed members practicing in this area of law.
If you would like to contribute or have questions about this project, please contact us at tyler@cmglaw.com or angela@mktmlaw.com.
As we get closer to publication, we will coordinate a special CLE event to kick off the Deskbook, featuring chapter authors.
Roundtable Meetings
We will once again coordinate meetings for our section members, in person or by phone whenever possible. Our first meeting is scheduled for September 25th, time TBD at the Seattle office of WSAJ. We look forward to planning the rest of the year, including a series of quarterly speakers, and to your suggestions at this first meeting.
Trial News Special Focus Issue
The Medical Negligence Special Focus Issue will be published in January 2015. Looking back through the archives, many of the Trial News articles we rely on in our practices were originally published in the annual Medical Negligence Issue. We hope this year’s issue will include more of these quality articles. Please contact us if you have ideas for this issue or would like to contribute.
We look forward to a very productive year!
